Councillor Shona Morrison COSLA President said:  “The Scottish Local Authority Remuneration Committee (SLARC) published its findings today, 16^th of February 2024. COSLA welcomes the significant work done to produce this report and thanks the committee, chaired by Angela Leitch, for their dedication and expertise over the last year.

“COSLA reiterates the need to properly recognise the significance of the Councillor role and to ensure that “terms and conditions truly reflect the responsibilities of a modern-day Councillor”. COSLA Leaders will now fully consider the report’s recommendations and respond in due course.
