Cost of National Insurance Rise for Local Government

COSLA has shared a briefing today (20th November 2024) ahead of a debate due to take place in Scottish Parliament this afternoon on the Impact of National Insurance Increase on Public Services.

The briefing sets out COSLA’s ask for MSPs to recognise the additional cost to Scottish Local Government of additional employers’ national insurance contributions (eNIC) in relation to the 2025/26 Budget.
