COSLA's President, Councillor Shona Morrison, has paid tribute to Councillor Margaret Brisley, Stirling Council Leader, who has sadly passed away on Sunday 27th of October.
Councillor Morrison said:
“On behalf of COSLA my thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of Councillor Margaret Brisley, Stirling’s Council Leader, following the sad news of her passing. Margaret was a well-respected Councillor, serving her community for 44 years as an elected official, and becoming Deputy Leader and later Leader at Stirling Council. Her legacy of committed public service won’t be forgotten, and she will be sorely missed by her Council colleagues and the wider local government family, but most of all by her family and those closest to her.”
