Deadline Extended for COSLA Awards
In light of the disruption councils are facing due to the announcement of the upcoming UK General Election on 4th of July, COSLA have decided to extend applications to our Excellence Awards for one week.
The new closing date will be 17:00 on Monday 10th of June - find out how to apply here.
This is a key opportunity to any of Scotland's Local Authorities and any of their teams who are yet to apply!
The Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate the very best of Scottish Local Government – the projects, services and teams that our communities rely upon. We created these awards specifically as part of our goal to amplify the vital importance of council services, and to help increase public understanding of the sheer breadth of work councils do and the ways they positively impact our lives and communities, in ways which often go unseen and un-celebrated.
Last year’s winners and nominees represented a diverse set of projects and offered the opportunity to remind us all of the work councils are doing day in and day out – even with limited resources – to ensure our communities can be safe, well, find connection and community, meet essential needs and that generations to come can enjoy a safe environment. This is truly a last chance to apply and have your council's top projects recognised. Finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony at Crieff Hydro Hotel, will have a professionally produced video put together about their project, and will feature in our communications and PR surrounding the awards and beyond.
Councils: please share this as a far and wide as possible among your teams and don’t miss out on this opportunity.
