Thursday 23rd November marks Carers Rights Day 2023.

"On Carer's Rights Day, I would like to take this opportunity to recognise the huge contribution unpaid carers make in Scotland. It's especially important because unpaid carers too often go unseen and uncelebrated.

Today also provides an opportunity to promote awareness of rights carers have and sources of support available to them. Partners across and within local areas are committed to working together to deliver services, make improvements where needed and ensuring carers are involved. It is clear that more needs to be done and this must include a focus on tackling the challenges and obstacles, including financial barriers, services across all sectors are facing when providing support to carers."
