“Seeing schools across Scotland reopen and pupils return to education so successfully this week has been reassuring - but it comes as no surprise.

“Our school staff teams – teachers and head teachers, support staff, cleaners, janitors and youth workers –  worked tirelessly in recent weeks to ensure the transition back into education for our children and young people after a five-month absence went as smoothly as possible.

“Their unwavering efforts and dedication throughout the pandemic has been inspiring, and we thank them once again for going above and beyond at every turn.”
