A COSLA Spokesperson said: "COSLA, and our members Councils, are working hard across Scotland to address issues which contribute to on-going pressures on our teaching work force and work continues to deliver locally empowered education systems for headteachers, teachers and support staff.

"COSLA will meet EIS shortly to discuss policy matters of common interest and many of the issues highlighted by this survey will no doubt be discussed then."
